I made mine with Indesign. Its not really resume software but it gives you more freedom in how you want it to look.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

i'd say content is way more important than style........

  5. In Jeex's case I would recommend he make it look as good as he can to compensate for the content!

I just used Microsoft Word. It has templates and more freely downloadable from their website.

  8. I agree with using Word, many companies prefer .doc files if you Email your resume.
    Here's some pointers:
1.DON'T lie about education and employers:if they do a background check they will know.
2.Make your resume easy to read:double space and only use black text.
3.Describe what you did with that company:ie "I was in charge of inventory control","I was responsible for good customer service","I was a pro badass".
    4.List any awards,certificates,software experience(ie Office,Word,etc)
    5.Have somebody proofread your resume.
Make a great first impressionn your cover letter describe why you would be perfect for that position.

    Good luck

  9. More tips:

Nobody cares about your personal life, so leave out the "I like hiking and walks on the beach and I am a good guitar player, etc. etc." on your resume.

They also don't care about your goals or ambitions, unless it is going to benefit them somehow. All they really want to know is how you can make them a better, more prosperous company.

Make sure everything you list on your resume is relevant. There comes a time when part time jobs from high school should no longer be a career highlight. Move on!

List religious and political affiliations with caution. Not everyone agrees with your views, nor do they want to hear about them no matter how wonderful you think they are.

I just finished up a three year position in employee training and I must have looked at hundreds of resumes and conducted as many interviews. Your application (cover) letter is just as important as your resume, and personality DOES count in an interview. I could go on and on..

One more- just stick with normal colored paper and designs if you are applying for a normal job. If you want to be something really crazy, then create an appropriate resume.

Jeex- since you are looking for a new job does this mean you are an ex-badass?
