Hi,
I have a Lite On 5005 on order and am expecting it Thursday, tonight I decided to download and read the manual. On page 23, editing is reviewed. The following notes is pasted from the .pdf
"Notes:
1.You can erase the recorded titles on both DVD+R/RW & DVDR/
RW discs.
2.After erasing the titles on the DVD+R & DVD-R/RW discs, the
erased space could not be utilized.
3.You can’t enable this feature when CD-R/RW discs is used."
Is it a misprint, or are they indicating space IS recovered when erasing titles on a DVD +RW disc?

Sounds like they're saying that you can erase from a DVD+RW and re-use that space.

So the LiteON (and the LG-Philip?) dual recorders only churn out DVD-RW in VideoMode-which makes them completely un-editable?
Is there a point to them having -RW/-R capability at all?
