  1. I have a DVD my friend passed down to me that he recorded on his set top box(I assume this because the menu seems like it's something a set top dvd recorder would spit out). It has one menu to select the title but it's just a blue screen(with text of course). I want to reauthor this to:

*remove an hour of blue screen at the end
*fix chapters(currently there's a chapter incrementally every minute, I want to set chapters so they correspond with the content)
*add a nice main menu as well as a chapter menu

What would be my best bet in doing this? I would prefer software that's wouldn't be too daunting but I really don't want a menu that's too cookie cutter. I also don't want something too complex. I just want a simple, classy menu that doesn't look cheesy that I can customize to use a font I want and perhaps a picture in the background. Thanks in advance.

Try using DVD-Lab or TMPGEnc DVD Author.

TMPGEnc DVD Author is your best bet for this project.

I think you can use it for something like 2 weeks or maybe even a month from the time you install before the time you must register (aka buy) it.
