I've noticed that DVD shrink now creates image files. Since I am running Win98 I've run into the problem of Shrink's .img file being too big (over 4 gigs). Since DVD Decrypter writes and reads multi-part image files I haven't had a need to change my OS. Now that Shrink creates image files, does anybody know if it is planned to support DVD Decrypter multi-part img files? The same question could be asked of IFO Edit.

Look into Imgtool classic. I have v0.91.2 and in Program settings, there is this option.
Split image into 1GB chunks (recommended for FAT32 partitions) -
Thanks for the reply, DoubleShadowIce. That is great news for me.
Do you know if the image files generated by ImgTool Classic be compatible with DVD Decrypter for burning? I don't have Nero (don't need it).

Man! ImgTool Classic and DVD Decrypter did it! Thanks so much everybody. I hadn't used ImgTool Classic for several versions. It worked great. ImgTool Classic writes .lst file with 1 gig .iso_xx files.
FWIW, this solved a long standing, on-going mystery here. I had been plagued with some DVDs locking up near the end of the movie in the player. I had thought it was a +R vs -R issue, a cheap media issue, a burning speed issue, even an AC3 audio issue. It turns out it was the image file and Win98 (FAT32) issue.
I would author my DVD using IFO Edit and also create the image file. IFO Edit would create the image file up to the 4 gig limit and carry on with no error message or anything. Then I would burn the disc and lock up upon playing it (near the end of the movie). Only the long movies did it; short movies played with no problem. It wasn't until I noticed all the image files on my HD were the same size that I figured it out.
A suggestion to the IFO Edit people... Add an error message when it hits that 4 gig limit.
There is still no need for me to "upgrade" to WinXP. I can rip, author, capture, shrink, edit... all in Win98.
