  1. hi,
    i ran svcd2dvd on a 2 disc cue and bin file movie that i had on the hard disc, and everything seemed to go ok, however when i played it back in my sony dvd player certain sections were turning black and white.
    evrything else, like sound and the playing of the movie seemd ok.

    why is this.....

  2. Most likely the movie you have converted is a screener copy and has these b&w sections anyway... You could try burning or mounting the vcd image and checking that also.

  3. no m8,

    its not a screener, its a proper tlesycn svcd, 2 discs

  4. I would definately check the sources, svcd2dvd doesn't modify the video, it only changes the sound and multiplexes it with the original video.

    Try the burning one disc to svcd to be certain...

    As bubbz says, SVCD2DVD does nothing to the video encoding.

    If the original mpgs don't do the same then i would look at the NTSC/PAL combination of your TV & DVD. My mate has a DVD player which plays NTSC DVDs but his TV isn't up to the job and the result is black & white. Using one of his other TVs - he has no problem.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    doesn't mean it can't be one that has black and white in it. I say check online if it is a version with b/w in it..
