I'm wanting to backup some of my DVDs to VCD. How is the easiest way to do this with good results? I'd probably want to split the movies in half and burn them on two VCDs, like I usually do with other larger clips.
(Even DVD to .avi would be ok too! Actually, that would probably be better...)
I looked at the guides, but there were so many that I didn't know which one to use. If anyone can suggest one that gives good results and is easy enough for a newbie to DVD stuff, I'd appreciate it ever so much!

I'd save some money and buy a DVD burner. I'll NEVER go back to VCD or SVCD.
