Does anyone know of a website that sells custom colored faceplates for DVD drives? I have a nice aluminum/metallic blue AMS case, and those beige drives look like shiite in there.
An alternative would be to take some metallic spray paint to the faceplates, but if I do that it'll void the warranty and I'll be SOL if my burner dies being only few weeks old. Anyone ever try it?
Thanks for all the infoage.

Color the face plates yourself but don't use spray paint, use vinyl dye.

I've spray painted many face plates (mostly black semi-gloss/satin). Works well, is easy and very cheap to do. The results have been great. Practice a bit, it's not hard.

anyone ever used this dye on a Playstation? I have an old one I'm thinking of modding and painting. I'd assume it would penetrate the smooth plastic of the PSX just as well. Also do you think its necessary to wipe the plastic down with an ammonia cleaner first as it usually is when painting? cleans the surface and opens aged plastics back up a bit so they accept paint a bit better.
