I have a SVCD-movie thats in 2 mpg-files (800 Mb each). Is there a way to make them fit on a DVD or convert them so they become a real DVD?

A first method involves re-encoding each file with DVD preset (also enable "Decode with mplayer" and disable "Author as DVD") and then use Sizzle to build a DVD from the two resulting mpg files.
A second, faster, method is to put your two mpg files in a folder, and run the S/VCD>DVD tool on that folder. The mpg file is in such case authored as a DVD without re-encoding the video. However, the resulting DVD will not be totally compliant and only some players can play such "SVCD-DVD" (see player compatibility list in this site).

I on the other hand have got a couple of avi´s that I realy would like to burn on a DVD. I managed to convert them to 1 kick-ass-big mpg. (4,5G) But then what. I need the wobs and that stuff..
I used TMPGEnc to the mpg..
If that will get you any further and you than know the rest.. please share..
