  2. Put another fan or heatsink in there, they are cheap these days and will only set you back $10-$30 dollars.

If that doesn't help look into the current airflow that your fans are producing. An incorrect cooling set-up can be as bad as not having one.

Do you have the sides of your case on or off? Try each method and monitor what effect it has on the temperature.

If that still doesn't solve the problem look into more advanced cooling methods like water cooling.

  3. 53°C is bad?

Are you speaking of the processor or the ambient air inside the case?

  4. My case and cpu are usually around 38-41C. Like mentioned above....another fan would probably help out a lot. And make sure you have a fan in the front pushing the air to the back and the fans in the back exhausting the air in the case.

Good air flow in and out of the case is the key. If it is your cpu only, I would get a new heatsing and fan.........thermaltake makes some good ones.

    Good Luck.

    I also have a Pentium 3.00ghz.
At rest the CPU sits around 40C.
Running at 100% (e.g. a Video Render) it sits on 57C.
However the ASUS temperature monitor warning threshold is set at a default of 75C.
Often though I have to remove the sides to get better ventilation because the fan-speeds increase rapidly when it gets hot, so does the fan noise.

From these figures I'd say your 53C is OK and the Sandra threshold is set too low.

I dont want anything to happen to computer

I have pentium 3 ghz and ms-7012 microstar motherboard

  7. There is no other places I can see to put other fans.

Sandra pro program also says this:

Warning W236 - Processor Vcore higher than rated maximum. Unless the reported value is incorrect or the processor is a different type that is not correctly detected, the voltage is higher than it should be. If you’re over-clocking the processor you may have pushed too far.
Fix: If the BIOS supports processor Vcore setting, check that the voltage programmed is correct for the processor installed. If not, check whether the mainboard supports the installed processor.

But I have not overclocked this...I bought it from aldi's...the medion 8080 XL computer.

    Help please

Make sure you are running a late version of SiSoft Sandra. It may be misreading your information. Also some boards can read these settings in BIOS. You might try that to see if it is there. If the processor is running very hot, upgrade your CPU cooler.
