    It seems Vcdhelp SVCD samples link is broken.
    I could't download files from there.
    Could anyone please indicate where can I find samples of SVCD for test?

    Excuse me, I forgot to say I'm looking for a sample of SVCD with selectable subtitles.
    Is your suggestion like that??

    just take a dvd incl. a trailer with subs, and convert it to svcd with subs using DVD2SVCD, burn on cd and try.
