Hi, just got my brand new NEC 2500A in a Bytecc combo external enclosure, I AM SO HAPPY! everything works perfectly.

I have tons of svcd in my pc, so IŽd like to burnŽem into a dvd, but as SVCD 1.0 NOT DVD format.

IŽve done some research, but no results. It seems that vcd easy doesnŽt handle dvd burning.

But, I was wondering, if maybe I create my compilation (consisting of many movies) with easy vcd onto an image file*, then opening this image file with a image drive, and copy the folders ("EXT", "MPEG2", "SEGMENT" AND "SVCD") of my compilation to a DVD-ROM format, will my home DVD player, recognize it as a standard svcd???

*Here is the other problem, I donŽt know if I can create NRG (nero) image files with VCDeasy to use it with Nero Image drive to copy "EXT", "MPEG2", "SEGMENT" AND "SVCD".

Is there an image drive for BIN files? just like NeroŽs image drive?

Well, if any one has achieved to burn SCVD 1.0 onto a DVD (+ or - R or + or - RW), PLEASE TELL ME HOW!!!

    Thank you very much

  2. You will need to extract the mpgs from the SVCD then use a program called SVCD2DVDMPG this will convert the audio to DVD compliant then apply a header patch all in one. Or you could convert the audio yourself then use TPMPEG to multiplex the video and audio as MPEG2 Program Stream then use DVDPatcher to change the header. There a few guides on this site somewhere just search for the tools i have mentioned.

    Yes, daemon tools.

You can't. But you can take (like RTailor suggests) a SVCD mpg and make it DVD compliant pretty easily with SVCD2DVDMPG and then author and bur as a real Video DVD.
