  1. I've got a 150 minute movie I want to fit on a DVD-5.

It's already MPEG-2 so I don't want to recompress it.

I'm wondering if 3ivx or some other MPEG-4 format is the way to go.

    Does anyone have any advice?

    Thanks

I've always found Xvid to be very eye-pleasing.

What bitrate is the video? What is the source? If it is a VHS transfer, it can probably be recompressed with no loss of quality.

In the future, you may want to ask you question in the topic, such as "150 Min . mpg2 to DVDR: MPEG-4?" or something like that. I know a many of the most helpful people here don't like going into the "I need help!!!" threads
