I've been backing up my DVD media for a couple of years now, and originally I used cheap media such as CMC, Ritek, etc. but lately I've read reports of Ritek crapping out on people. I haven't experienced this problem yet, and in all honesty, I would like to avoid it altogether. :P

Anyway, getting onto my question... Is there a chance of these disks going belly-up? Should I transfer them onto Verbatim?

    Thanks.

If the discs truly are fine, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

The only worry with Ritek is reflectivity, meaning other devices might have a harder time reading them. You have to consider equipment you'll have later, not just what you have now.

Have you tested the discs? I mean they can copy 1:1 fine, pass read tests, looks fine on the dye, and can be played 100% with no screen boogers?
