Unlead dvd workshop 2 help needed

hello to everyone. please bear with me i am new to this.

i have read every post and every tutorial i can think off but they haven't answered my questions so i am here seeking advice .

i have been using temgenc dvd authour and i can use it without any problems my only dissapiontment with this program is i cannot put any music on the menu screen.

my first question to you all, is their a way i can add music to the menu screen using this program ?


my biggest problem is with unlead dvd workshop

here goes

i open i new project and i go to add video , from a video_ts folder and the program wont let me, it will let me add the file if its in windows media format but the time i have done this for the two/three/four films i wont then built the menu it takes about six hours two burn it back the longest has been 10 hours .

please tell me this is wrong

also if i add the video_ts folder through import dvd video i get all the chapters on the menu

my questions here are

1) which is the best and quickest way two add video with this program

2) if i have two add the video through add dvd video how do i get rid of all the chapters on the menu screen , all i wont on the menu screen is the begining of the films so if i highlight one of the four films it goes straight into the film

Please describe the precise properties of the video files you are trying to insert.

You mentioned Windows Media Video (.WMV) format files.

Which files are giving you issues when you attempt to import?

I sometimes work with MPEG-2 files from a Panasonic VDR-M30 DVD disc camcorder.

The files from the Panasonic device have the following precise video/audio properties:

NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
MPEG files
24 Bits, 704 x 480, 29.97 fps
Field Order B
(DVD-NTSC), 4 : 3
Video data rate: Variable (8800 kbps)
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
MPEG audio layer 2, 48 KHz, Stereo

What are the precise video/audio properties of the files that you are unable to import?

I am trying to add a dvd a couple of films that i have

ie

lion king 3 , brother bear and finding nemo

what i want to do is add these to my project and create a menu for the film with a musical background.

the folders are stored on my hard drive as vob files in a video_ts folder when i try to import the it doesn't see them ( if i use tmpgence dvd author it picks them up straight away )

if i am using unlead dvd movie factory 2 i can open it as a dvd video but it adds all the chapthers on the menu screen so somethimes i can have 45 chapthers on the menu screen

if as you have said i add the wav file then no problem only three on the screen as i want but it takes about ten hours to convert it back and then ages to re burn

all i need is to know if there is a simply way to lose all the chapthers on the menu screen and have just the first one on the screen

or

is the a simple program like tmpgence dvd author that will let you add a musical backgroung on the menu screen

If you are attempting to use the IMPORT DVD VIDEO function to import copyrighted material, you will not be successful with Ulead DVD Workshop 2.0.

I can't explain why you are able to insert such files using Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2.0's IMPORT DVD VIDEO function.

Please know, however, that the IMPORT DVD VIDEO (DVD-VR) function always interprets *chapter points* as breaks in the video.

The new Ulead DVD MovieFactory version 3.0 features a new JOIN command that allows one to join multiple MPEG segments, but this feature always results in re-encoding of the source files, in my experience.
