  2. try lowering the bitrate some. you might be choking the player (feeding it more data than it can process)

I know I will learn alot of different way to write on cd so when I use vcd work good most time but I like svcd look great than vcd that why. Thank for helping. SO I will keep post this if I have problem. For burning cd I like nero is better than Adptec easy cd. Correct if I am wrong I just learn everyday LOL.

  4. try an average bitrate of about ~2100 kbps. most players that play SVCD will handle that with no problems, and that should keep peaks below 2500kbps, a threshold for some players

Always use an external encoder. For SVCD, use CBR 2500. You won't save that much room with VBR (assuming the encoder does a good job on the VBR) but it'll take a lot longer.

  6. Get a Pioneer DV-343 dvd player. I recommend this one because it plays ANY SVCDs I throw at it. Diffrent and odd bitrates play fine. If your model screws up or doesn't do what mine has been doing for the past month, I would return it.

    And thats my 2 cents.
