  1. I'm trying to use a Dazzle DV-Bridge with my G4 to capture some old VHS tapes to DV. I've had endless problems with signal dropout, and have read probably every review and opinion ever written on the DV-Bridge. Some have had good luck with it; I haven't. Some have been able to fix problems; I haven't.

Bottom line: Are there _ANY_ reliable hardware/software fixes for using this device with VHS, or is it truly a lost cause?

Before handing the Bridge its "walking papers", why not borrow/rent a time-based corrector. It will clean up your Bridge's signal, and make it more useable for you system.
    Hello.

Interesting. What brands/models are out there?

Datavideo TBC-1000 works great! You might be able to use the TBC-100, but not sure since you have a Mac.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
