  1. i dont know much about all this stuff, but im learning. i burnt a movie on 2 disks off nero and the quality isnt as good as on my pc. is there any way of burning movies and keeping the good quality?

    1: whats is the source video, AVI,MPG,DivX, etc..?
    2: are you letting nero encode the source?

  4. the only problem with nero is that it does a standard VCD encode 352x240 at 1150 bit rate. Your AVI is probably a better quality than that so when you encode with nero it downgrades the quality. what you can do is create a SVCD using Nero or create a compliant .mpg using TMPGENC and then burning it. The advantage of using TMPGENC is that you can tweek the settings. There are plenty of guides here on the left to guide you through the steps on how to create a great looking VCD/SVCD. If you use TMPGENC to encode an .mpg you should also use VCDeasy to burn, I find that it easier and also you can add chapters to the VCD/SVCD
