Don't know if this has been asked before (I couldn't find it sorry)

When I make a dvd disc of tv programmes using SVCD2DVD and use the menu for the episodes the menu doesn't show up on my standalone dvd players. All I get is the video ts folder

has anyone else had this problem or is it just me doing something wrong?

What happens when you play on the PC (PowerDVD or WinDVD)?

Are you burning a proper DVD-VIDEO or just data?

I have PowerDvd on the PC but it says unknown file format!

I am burning a proper DVD-VIDEO

I converted the MPEG files to DVD files with SVCD2DVD, then tried burning with CopyToDVD and also Nero but it's still the same

Looking at your pic I can see there's something wrong with my IFO files, is there a program or something that I don't have that I should have?

Heather: When you said that PowerDVD said unknown format was that attempting to play the disc or was it when loading the VIDOE_TS folder from the hard drive? If the formaer can you try the latter of the latter can you install windvd & give it a try?

I installed windvd

I then burned the Video TS onto a CD/RW and it played perfectly (with the menu) on the standalone dvd player

why didnt it play or burn properly without WinDVD on my PC?
