I'm toying with using SVCD2DVD to create DVDs from my VCD / SVCD sources, however my standalone player does NOT play VCD of SVCD format: can this tool create DVDs that I can play on my standalone player? Thanks in advance.

To get a simple yes or no answer you'll need to call the psychic hotline. Not all DVD players are created equal. The only way to find out for sure is by trying it yourself. Good luck, and post your results.
