    Isn't DiVX open source ? Has there been any suggestions - about making a DiVX chip to install into the DVD players ?

    Personally I think that is a good idea. I cannot belive that someone hasn't yet.

    Sigma Designs has already made a mpeg4 decoder chip....now someone just has to make a set top decoder with it...

    Just remember it says MPEG4(microsoft) not MPEG4 Divx.
