    have borth pioneer 107D dvd-rw and Pioneer 116 dvd-rom

I find winth the new 107 modified firmware 1.10 it can rip a dvd faster than my pioneer dvd-rom.

dvd writer 9.34 mins (average 8x)
dvd rom 16.47 mins (average 4x)

for the same 4.7gb dvd-r movie dvd.

On average what rip speeds are people getting with dvd-rom drives? Is there a way to rip faster with my dvd-rom or do newer model dvdrom drives rip faster?

  2. You have modded firmware for your burner, see if there is modded firmware for your reader that has rip speed unlocked.
