Can I crop a movie without having to reencode the file (only MPEG)? It would be useful, 'cause almost all SVCD's that I get have 4:3 AR, and i would like to crop it to 16:9 and change AR. Is there any way.

Thanks, but I knew that already. I was sort of looking for a program that could cut the edges just like that, like MPEG Schnitt cuts out parts, you know? Any idea?

Use Lord Smurf's guide for Womble MPEG Editor -

This program will cut any sections you don't want without any re-encoding involved - very fast and easy to use!Last edited by redwudz; 7th Feb 2011 at 15:45. Reason: Corrected web address

As for what the other post says ... Womble MPEG2-VCR is for cutting out whole frames (ala VirtualDub) not portions of a frame (ala cropping).
