  1. Hi, I just installed Cyberlink's PowerVCR 3.0 II. Now I don't get any TV channels anymore. It has been a while since I used the TV tuner so how can I tell if my AIW's tuner has gone bust or the problem lies with the new software. Uninstalling the soft does not bring back TV capabilities. I've tried the new ATI MMC 8.9 but it wont even give a channel or location selector.

    greets..

  2. EDIT:

    tried the AIW on another PC, tuner works fine there...
    So it's definately a reg or soft problem. Any ideas? Don't want to re-install my C: drive.

    I have an AiW 8500DV card;

    I've found Cyberlink's Power VCR to **MESS** my Computer, so I gave up it;

    Also, whenever my PC gets messed by any sw, I found out that a reformat-reinstrall everything takes about 3 hours, less time than trying to fix unknown bugs, so, go and reformat it, forget Power VCR;

    Intervideo's WinDVR3 is great and works with AiW cards;

  4. Nothing I try gives me back my TV channels. So: advice taken, took a bit longer than 3 hours though....
    Someone should sue Cyberlink for this.

  6. It kept me pondering so I searched some more and lo and behold: this should be the answer....

    Why this wasn't on the Cyberlink site is beyond me, cause I found it in another forum as an answer from Cyberlink to some other hapless guy.

    Nice things, those upgrades of system-controlling files.

    Next Time try Norton Ghost. It only takes 10 minutes to restore your hardrive system.

  8. Curiously enough I have Norton Systemworks pro 2004 on my machine. I just didn't get to make a ghost of my drive as I only built my current some 3 months ago. (See signature....)
