  1. well i'm very excited I was finally able to put a master of one of my songs on dvd in 5.1 surround. I was only able to do one of them since all the others were already mixed down to stereo and the original .wav's have long since been forgotten. Anyways I was happy with the result except for one thing which was my mistake. I had all mono wav's but for some reason I left the vocals stereo..so when I told the vocals to play out of the center channel I suppose since it wasn't mono it went ahead and went out the fl and fr anyways :P.

I used Acid Pro 4.0 and the Surround Plug-In. The song was originally recorded in CoolEdit Pro (now Adobe Audition), and I imported the tracks into acid..set each track on the surround field and then encoded it to a 5.1 ac3 file. Then I used Photodex ProShow Gold and made a picture slideshow that was the same length as the song..It was just a still screen saying what the song was and yadda yadda and i had a transition but it just went to the same picture in a different color. Then I authored it in TmpgEnc DVD Author and burned in nero.

    yea!

Congratulations! I've been wanting to make my own 5.1 for a while now and just haven't gotten around to it yet. I hope I can pull it off as well as you did.
