    Hi all,

I used Gordian Knot to rip and create d2v file (DVD Dycrypter & DVD2AVI). After closing DVD2AVI I noticed that 4 audio files (AC3). One AC3 file was (384/2 channel) and the other 3 AC3 files were 192/1 channel. The 4 audio files total 995MB

How would I mux all 4 files into my XviD encoded file? Will the muxed file play as the original DVD? The last AC3 file is shorter (10 minutes) are compared to the others.

I am trying to fit the XviD encoded movie onto DVD-R. Initially I did not want to do anything to the original audio files, but they are so large (995MB) that I am considering making smaller AC3 files or MP3. What would you all recommend?

    Many thanks.

  2. Convert AC3 channel 1 (the main dialogue) to a low bitrate 96k mono mp3. This should leave you with room for the full glory of the third assistant directors comments in 5.1 surround, along with Slovak and Romansche as secondary lanuguages. This should suit all occasions.

    seriously tho
Main lang leave or downsample to 192/5.1 ac3
the others delete... AFAIK AC3 wont save much space when converted to mp3 at the same bitrate (percentages anyone?)

Thanks RabidDog. Much appreciated. I was kinda leaning that way too.

Just one thing though. I imagine I can mux in VirtualdubMod or Nandub, so thats no prob.

My one question is this. I can downsample the 2channel (main movie file) and dump the other 2. The last and smallest file is a 10 minute director's thingy . I want to keep that one and mux as well. Is this possible and will it play at the end (last 10 minutes) as it does in the DVD?

    Thanks again.
