  1. Here's a weird one. Just recently I have had a problem while dubbing from my sony vcr to my panny E 50. I get a tint problem on the faces (turn greenish to reddish back to normal tint). I am using a stabilizer and thought that was the problem so I changed the battery and cables ( I use Monster). I still had the same problem. I tried a different stabilizer and the problem was the same. Now this only happens when I record from my persenal collection of Vhs. If I record from Pre- records Movies I don't have the Problem. Also Dvd or Sateliite to the dvd are unaffected as well.
This has just started so why would this happen only on non copy protected material? Could it be the Vcr? Dvd Recorder? If I play the videos without going thru the dvd recorder there is no problem. Anyone out ther please help. I'm at my wits end!
    Thanks, BeatleDave

  2. I have no answers for you but I have seen the same thing with JVC VHS to my E-50. It only seems to show up on a dupe of a dupe which may have come from another dupe. My guess is that the quality of the VSH signal is low and that is the problem as it never happens on an original copy. I used to see this in the old days with color wash out that showed up as very high contrast. I bet I know what your "personal collection" consists of.
Still a few bugs in the system...
