I got a tip that some G03 x2 DVD-r's I bought would burn at x8 so I tried one last night.
Having watched it start it stalled at circa. 641mb and then failed.
(I'd flashed my new Pioneer 107D and had been burning x4 G04's at x8 no problem).
After the x2 GO3 failed I tried another G04 and that stalled at 641mb too, but after say ten seconds it picked up again and completed/burnt no problems (all in circa. seven minutes).
I seem to remember reading something about most disks failing at around 641mb, is this true and how come?
