  1. This is the closest forum I can think of for posting this, I hope this is at least semi-correct. I have a Dell PowerEdge 400SC (P4 2.4 HT, 800mhz, 1gb ram, 9600 pro) running W2k SP4. I've been trying to install Hauppauge WinTV PVR-250 for 2 weeks. I followed the directions on hauppauge's page step by step. W2k would detect the card and I would point to the folder where the drivers are located. After reboot, the card would show an exclamation point next to it everytime. I've tried every PCI slot(4) on the board, tried disabling HyperThreading, nothing worked. I tried the card in a HP/Compaq d530 running XP Pro, it almost corrupted the OS on that machine. I bought a 2nd card and tried it on my Dell, same result. Finally I moved the card to an Acorp Dual 1GHz P3 machine, it installed with no problems. The WinTV driver I'm using is the latest off of Hauppauge's site. Anyone have any idea how to get this thing working in my Dell?

  2. I remember reading that Dell uses some sort of strange driver that can cause conflicts with some capture cards. Try the following forum for specific Hauppauge info that should help:
