  1. This one looked almost too good, but PayPal just confirmed it was bogus.

    The key to this one is the 'Dear Customer' line; PayPal always identifies you by your account's name (first and last) or business name. A few people around here fell for this one...



    If I could ever figure out a short way to upload the entire e-mail, I'll edit this post accordingly.

  2. I never received one, but my favorite scam email is the child pornography one.

    Basically what happens is the target receives an email supposedly from their ISP or a law enforcement agency. It says something along the lines of...

    "We have discovered you are the webmaster of a child pornography website. As this is your first offense, no legal action will be taken, but we have charged your credit card the mandatory fine. If you believe this was done in error, please enter your credit card number and we will remove the charge."

    Trust me on this one.......they never charge you the mandatory finethe first time......
