Hello All,
I have a Panasonic E80 that I am using to create a High School Football season review DVD. The original video was edited on a Casablanca NLE. I recorded (FR) directly from the Casablanca onto the E80's hard drive and high speed dub from the hard drive to DVD-r media. Each disk takes 55min to dup and approxiamtely 4 min to finalize. I just received a call from the football coach and he would like 70 copies. I have a computer that has an old Panasonic DVD-r/RAM (1x) writer.
This is volunteer work for the HS (ie. no pay). Therefore, I looking for recommendations on how to create all the requested dups in a timely manner. Should I just continue to use my E80 or is there a method I should use to create dups on my computer with the Panasonic DVD-r/RAM writer.
Thanks for any feedback,
Darin

probably the quickest would be to use dvddecrypter to make an iso image of the dvd on your computer and then burn the iso image 70 times.

Thanks for the info. I have downloaded and installed DVDDecrypter and started creating a DVD-r ISO image file using the program's default settings. Since I am making an image copy, will DVDDecrypter keep the same menus and chapter marks that were originally creating by the E80?
Does DVDDecrypter support burning ISO images to my Panasonic DVD-RAM/r drive?

I figured out how to use DVDDecrypter to burn an ISO. I get a CRC error whenever I put DVDDecrypter into Write mode. I am using a Panasonic LF-D310 with W2K. The LF-D310 is only a 1x drive and it is currently progressing at a burn rate that will take approximately 50 minutes to write the ISO image. I hope the CRC error that was initially displayed does not contribute to making a coaster.

Something I forgot to mention was regarding the compatibility of the dvdr from the panny. A LOT of people (me included) have a lot of problems using stuff burned from the panny. What I (and everyone else) does is run it through TMPGENC DVD Author to reauthor the video (takes about 1 hour). There you can create menus and chapter points, etc. THEN burn it. After that just keep burning the copies that you need.
That might explain the CRC error.
Actually, dvd shrink will not work (I have tried that before I found out about tmpgenc dvd author). -
Thanks for the help. It looks like DVDDecrypter did the trick. Created and burned the ISO without any problems. I was a little off with the error. The error is a CDB (whatever that it) and only occurs when I put DVDDecrypter in Write mode, insert a blank DVD-r, or when I start the copy process. I just click through the warning dialog and the copy procedes without any problems.
I do need to get a quicker DVD writer though. My 1x LF-D310 takes 55 minutes to burn the ISO. The E80 takes 55 minutes to dup with 4 minutes to finalize. But at least I am doubling up on the copies by using both devices.
Thanks again for the help!Solus Veritas,
