  1. I looked through the guides section, and there are couple of different methods for converting DVDs to Xvid. I'm looking for the best balance of speed, quality and ease of use.

    i like Vidomi for DivX encoding and assume if you install
    Xvid codec alongside, you will get ability to turn a sequence of vobs
    into one DivX or Xvid file

  4. I agree with Baldrick, if you're after ease of use, AutoGK is a cool tool. Vidomi is OK, but I found it could get a little unstable when I use other applications while it's running. That could just be my machine, though. 8)

    I personally use the full-blown Gordian Knot, but it's a bit confusing so I would stay away just now. If you feel ready for moving onto a more advanced tool, I'd suggest Gordian Knot. You get total control.

    I use the older VIDOMI still avaialble..I should've said
    I find the newer one unstable on my 2k boxes but fine on 9xx
