  1. I want to blow up and analyze a scene to compare two encoding s/w (CloneDVD2 and Encode 2) and I normally use Snagit but it doesn't work on WMP or Windvd. I quess its due to it being an overlay. Anyway to do this?

  2. If they're DV or MPEG-2 files you can use VirtualDub (the MPEG version).

Don't know if this helps . But I just opened up a recently converted mpeg file in TMPGenc , went to 'Select Source Range' and moved the slider to the image I wanted . Then used SnagIt to take a picture of the image. Then closed TMPGenc.

PowerDVD lets you take screenshots, just pause the movie, and take the shot, easy!

  6. So where Power DVd save the file to? I have Power DVd and I see the camera icon but can't find the pic to file. I can select save as desktop and have it show up there.

On the row of Icons where the camera icon is click on the one that says configuration , then click on advanced and you can set it to send the picture to any file on your PC .

WinDVD has a very similar way of taking shots.
