  1. I went looking for some DVD-RW discs. All I saw were Memerex and Sony brand which were rated at 1x - 2x speed.

I dont like waiting a whole hour for 1x and 2x being around 30 mins is tolerable. But I want 4x so its only about 15 mins.

If they do not make 4x DVD-RW media can someone please tell me what brand/id media burns reliably at 2x speed on a Pioneer A05?

    Thanks.

  2. I read the pioneer a05 spec sheet:

    4.7GB DVD-RW Version 1.1 2x-speed

So if I wanted to burn a RW at 4x speed I'd have to go with a drive that supported dvd+rw. Damn.... It kinda seems DVD minus is starting to become extinct.

Bit setting on DVD+ to make it look like a DVD-ROM
    awesome

havent found any other then 2x for -RW. So I just use 4x+RW instead.

    -RW Media:

Memorex RITEKW0 (Ritek) 2x works for me.

The best was Pioneer 2x PVCW00V00245, very expensive but 100% good, only probm is that I cant get them anymore or any PVD media since Pioneer no longer makes media.
