I see that number was featured in TV ads a few weeks ago. Of course, without the area code, there may be quite a few others with the same ending numbers. I would worry about idiots calling all the time. Seems that was the complaint from the owner when the song first came out. I guess this is payback for that.

they probably took it off becuase the person who was selling it doenst own the number. the phone company owns the number.

and who would want that number anyway? you would just get tons of calls from people wanting to know if that number was real or not.

yes, eBay took it down, pending the determination on who owns the phone number.

I would think, with the recent "take your phone number to any service" rulings, that there's nothing inherently illegal on this.

highest bid I saw was $202,000, before some bid retractions pushed it back down to about $80,000.
