  2. I can't vouch for the media, but they sound overpriced... even if you were lucky and got the Ritek ones.

Have you looked at places like http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk ?

Packard Bell have several entries in the media list to the left, BTW.

  9. I bought a 10 pack of Packard Bell CD-RW's and they are CRAP! They wont play / be recognised on any machine other than a PC drive! So I would definately avoid the DVDR versions!

Go get some x4 speed Riteks from Blankdiscshop @ £15 for 25 and get burning!!

  10. I have used the packard bell discs, the dvd+rw burned without a hitch, I bought the dvd-r 1 speed, initially I could not get nero or dvd decryptor to burn them, it just basically froze my PC. The solution was to use roxio easy dvd creator and drag the video and audio folders to make a standard data disc and hey presto, this method also worked with some
troublesome datawrite dvd-r yellow classic as these burned but stuttered on my standalone
    .
So I guess its not always the disc it is also how you burn them and with which program
    I dunno...it might work

Am i the only person here who thinks packard bell dvd-r's rock?
i love them! the only problem i had with them was when i installed windows xp onto my computer. i also installed an old version of nero(5.something) by mistake and i ended up burning 3 or 4 coasters. I solved the problem by installing a new version of nero. but apart from that the other 30 or so packard bell discs i've burned work fine!

I haven't used this media, but if the Packard Bell media is anything like the Packard Bell hardware used to be (I owned a 233 mhz packard bell pc), it's crap!!!!
