  1. What is the problem here? Is it the DVD RW/R that I am using or is it just a burning error? Has happened 2 times so far. If you guys want to try and help first hand, MY AIM Is Vilardo47 just send me a message there I will be back after 12. Or just post here with what I should do and I will check it often.

    Thanks

  2. Sounds like a cheap/poor media issue, but you haven't really given us much to go on.
Provide some more details like media used, burner, software etc. and you'll get more answers.

  3. ok you asked for it you got it

The DVD Burner I am using is a 4x DVD RW/+R Burner from Digital Research

The DVD RW I am using is from FujiFilm and it is for up for 4x write speed. 4.7 GB and its a for data and video

I used DVD Shrink to cut it down and then burn with Nero.

It all works fine and then it just freezes and skips when I play it. Hows that info there?

Mistake number 1 was using NERO

Instead create an ISO IMAGE FILE using the classic version of ImgTools THEN burn that ISO IMAGE FILE with DVD Decrypter.

After you burn the disc use DVDInfoPro (freeware version with adware or for a small fee you get no adware) to run a READ ERROR TEST. The READ ERROR TEST should report ZERO errors.

  5. also, in my experience, some standalone DVD players (if that is what you are using) don't like DVD-RW's, try using DVD-R instead.

  6. Did the disk play on your PC OK ?

If so try a decent Ritek DVDR, these are known to be the most compatible with standalone players.

As mentioned above, lots of folk have problems with Nero, so if using a Ritek doesn't sort it out, try different Burning software.

  7. Im having the same problem with TDK DVD+RW. I have the same problem playing it on my computer or in standalone DVD so im thinking its the writer or the media. I used DVD Shrink+nero for 1 and DVDXCOPY Platinum for the other with same results of freezing and skipping. Any thoughts?

  8. Easy way to test...

    1) Put same media in new player, if it works, it was the old player

    2) Re-Author on better media (don't write more than 4.1GB even though youi can fit more, some players hate that). Problem goes away it was bad media or getting tooo close to edge with data. Also, as well as could also had been old player still adding to problems as well if better media plays even better that on new player than older player.

My friend used crap media, constantly skipped on his player, bad but much less skipping on my player. Used good media on to reauthor same movie, his player player it much better, but not perfect. New Media player perfectly on my player.
