  1. So BitrateCalc tells me that using the bitrates that it provides, I should have a video stream of 633MiB, and an audio stream of 142MiB, which when multiplexed will produce a VCD compliant MPEG with a size of 797MiB...

    The problem is that the video and audio filesizes are fine, but when I multiplex them in TMPEG the filesize turns out to be closer to 900MB -- too big for a VCD and certainly larger than BitrateCalc told me it should be.

    What could I be doing wrong that would make the file too big? I'm using 224kbit/s mp2 audio (converted from wav by besweet gui), and 995kbit CBR mpeg1.

    If you change the bitrate you are making xvcd and you must then select video cd(non-standard) in tmpgenc when you multiplex.
