Hey, im not sure what forum this should go on, but anyway ill post if here, if its wrong just chnage it.

Anyway, i am having a problem somwhere between the converting process and burning process of making an AVI a DVD.

After i convert my avi to mpeg, i use TMPGEnc DVD Author to convert the mpeg to a dvd (you know with all the folders VTS....), anyway, when i finnish doing that i play the VOB files and everything seems to be alright, (like the sound is all good and picture is the best it can be), anyway then i use TMPGEnc DVD Author to burn the dvd, this says it all worked and everything, and it finnishes properlly.

Anyway, when it comes to playing the DVD on my dvd player (standalone) it will play for about 40 minutes, good, with no problems, but after that it will either stop, and wont continue playing or it will continue with the sound all "chipmunkish". Is there a reason for this.....

Im not sure if this has effected it, but when converting a avi (that is divx, or xvid) i heard you should extract the sound first using VirtualDub, i did this, but i converted the sound to 44100Hz (thats what a tutorial told me), and i heard that a DVD was suposes to be a different one......

Anyway, im not sure what is really causing this problem.........if anyone knows please help me out, as it is getting annoying (wasting all my dvd-r's)

Thanx
