Mopar DVD - who makes it.

Any idea what the brand is
of my Mopar DVD player in my 2002
Chrysler Minivan? It was installed
at the factory. Manual
says is plays DVD vidio and music
CD's. Hopefully it does more.

I also have a Mopar DVD which won't play DVD +/-R/RW.

I have tried all sorts of stuff including bitsetting the disks to ROMs with no success......

Mopar designates factory made parts for chrysler products. Mopar are the original Chrystler parts so it seems that they may make the dvd player themselves, though they may not make the actual components.

Mopar rarely makes anything themselves. Almost everyone of their products is supplied by someone else. For example, Purolator supplies most of the current oil filters and Alpine supplies the CD changers. Of course the Mopar name is on everything they sell.
