Software To Convert

Hi All,


Can anyone please advise...


I have been given some RMVB (real Media) files and would like to convert them to another format like AVI or MPEG. Can anyone recomend any conversion software that will allow me to do this?

Right, got all that, installed all that, tried all that.


When I run Tinra, it asks me to browse to the file I want to convert, I do but when I browse it doesn't recognise the RMVB files. Realplayer picks them up just fine.


Any Ideas

Hi,

Well, at first i was having problems with Tinra to convert my RMVB file (not RM). No video, only audio.

The problem is solved by using EO Video 1.36 (the old eo video can't support it). I am having no problems and can convert my RMVB file to avi now.

Still wouldn't do it for me, I changed the extention to rm and it worked accept that the AVI that came out of the other was 4.5gb (from a 285mb RMVB)


Binned it...

Click on the converter tab on the bottom and in the converter window and to the left you have to click on compression then on the right side choose an avi codec from the drop down box and of course then adjust its settings.

Yep, done all that. Tried various different codecs, different formats. All ended up being pretty much not worth the time and effort.
