Rec audio onto CD-r, and VCD onto CD-r

I was wondering if any dvd rec unit that can be able to record audio music onto a CD-r or recording an hour of movie onto a CD-r to make a VCD, or perhap a SVCD.

Don't know any DVD recorder that can do all that.

About the closest thing you can get to what you want is the Datavideo VDR-3000DV but it doesn't record to DVD. It makes audio CDs, VCDs, SVCDs, HQ-VCDs (same as mini-DVDs which are about 20 min. of DVD SP-quality on a CD) all in real-time. You might not like the $1,000 price tag though.
