Backup Problem

I thought I had this down but I bought a new computer and it seems that for some reason all my backups will play on my standalone player once. When I go to play them again they won't regeister as a DVD in the vcr/DVD player. Anyone have any suggestions. I am using DVD shrink & Nero 6.

Have you tried different brands of DVD?

you say that they have played before in the DVD player? and now they wont? if thats the case then there are 2 possible problems i can think of:

1.) your dvd player is dieing
2.) sometimes DVD players are picky about playing DVD+/-R materials... and you may have to open/close/re start the dvd a number of times to get it to recognize it.

i had this same problem... i burnt the DVD, played perfect the first time, loaded first try... the next time i tried to watch it, took me almost 5 minutes to get the DVD player to recognize the disk..

try that and see if it works
