How can I rip a DVD to one large vob only with DVDdecrypter insead of the usual 1gb divisions? I've tried setting file splitting to none in file mode but it makes no difference. Any clues?

You must be in ifo mode for it to work. Settings-ifo mode-file splitting-none.

Problem is that I want to edit the files than my set-top Pioneer has recorded to DVD, but it creates a new VOB/episode every thime the commercials come on. Hence, the DVD looks like it has got several episodes on it, not one long one.

DVDdecrypter won't let me rip all the PGCs together.

DV Tool will merge vob files into one large one. A sepearate file when a commercial appears? Are you pausing at the commercial? I don't have a standalone DVD recorder, but that seems odd.

If you download DV Tool, get the old version 0.31,it's much faster than the current free version 0.53.

What do you mean by "must be in ifo mode"? File mode works just as fine too. In preferences, file modetab, there is also a file-splitting option. Select none. The highlighted titleset in question will be ripped as one.
