  1. ...then I have a question(s) for you:

How are iPODs for working out, i.e. running? I see that an armband is available, but how safe is it? I don't want to risk anything here. Also, how sturdy are they? If I lay down $300 for one I don't want to drop it once and lose my investment...

  2. Yes I have a 15gb Generation 3 Ipod. One of the best investments I have ever made. You will def. want some kind of case for it. Even for everyday use because the back chrome gets little scratch marks in it......So I have a lajo exo3 case.

For more on cases look in the forums at www.ipodlounge.com
    They have reviews of cases.

My sister just got a 10gb Ipod and wants to use it for mostly working out like you. She bought the Speck Products iSport. She says it works good. Nice solid molded foam....not the stuff that tears easily. Adjustable belt......mesh on the inside so it doesnt hurt your back. I have tried it on and it is quite comfortable. Really good for riding bikes or jogging.

Here is the review at ipodlounge......its cheap right now. http://ipodlounge.com/reviews_more.php?id=1300_0_6_0_M

Hope this helps. It is a good investment......either way you will want atleast a seperate ipod skin........look at www.lajo.biz He used to work for iSkin but started his own company after a falling out.........he has cheaper prices and a better product. Plus if you buy one of his exo skins.....you automatically get 5 dollars off when you click on his logo next to the banner at the top.........5 dollars isnt much but it does cover the shipping.

I have a 10gb 3G iPod and the arm band. It works perfectly. The armband is great for when I ride my bike. Works great.
