  1. Hello,
Hardware used: Pioneer A06/A07 burner, TDK DVD+R/+RW media.
I used DVD Shrink 3.1.4 and then tried to burn DVD using DVD Archictect 1.0d.
I did my test burn using DVD+RW media - came out nice, compatible to all 3 different players I've got.
So then I burned it onto +R and got a coaster. DVD Architect reports "success", I can see the track but even the computer sees no files.
However Nero reports under the "disk info" 4.25G of data on DVD.
So it seems like the Architect did not close the +R disks.
3 new TDK DVD+Rs went to the garbage...
Both A06 and A07 gave the same result.
The +RW once again came out nice and readable.
By adding a dummy file to my coaster and choosing "Finalize DVD" option in Nero I was able to bring bad +R disk back to life.
Would it be safe to assume that DVD Architect is not working properly with either Pioneer A07 or TDK +R media (only with +RW)?
    Any suggestions, please?

stop being an *******, sometimes it takes a while to get a response.

if you had done some searching you would probably learn that recordnow max is a good application for burning dvd's.. check the options, close the dvd.. or you can use imgtool to create an iso & use dvd decrypter to burn it.

have some patience next time, fuckwad

  7. No offense to anyone, but this thread is pretty funny

    @ toshik

Are you sure DVD+R is compatible with your player?
That would explain why the +RW works and the others don't...check here if you're not sure -

Choosing "Finalize DVD" option in Nero sounds like you've created a Data DVD - that should not be an option for burning a DVD-Video.

Follow Lord Smurf's guide for Nero, and you shouldn't have any problems -

  8. FWIW, jeex did give you some helpful advice - use RecordNow Max.

I had very similar problems as yours - +RWs worked fine in the computer and on my standalone player (except for the one that wasn't as compatible with +RWs), but +Rs would not work on the standalone players. Burning with Nero and DVD Architect both had the same results.

Read in the forums that some players need the DVD-Rom bitsetting for +Rs to work correctly. I downloaded DVDInfoPro and used it to change the bitsettings for my +Rs and +RWs to DVD-Rom and started using RecordNow Max to burn the Video_TS and Audio_TS directories to disk. Haven't had a single problem since then. I have read that Nero uses its own bitsettings and overrides the settings done with DVDinfopro.

    Good Luck
