Just saw Pioneer 310, GO Video 4940, and Philips from Costco and I am deciding which one I should go for. I need your advice. My main purpose is to transfer all my old tapes into DVD for archive purpose. All my VHS tapes contain football games so which product is suitable for my needs without degrading the quality after transfering into DVD? Is it good idea to put entire game in 1 DVD or spit into 2 dvds? The average football game is about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs.
I look forward to your input! Thanks!!

I purchased the Philips DVDR 72 from Costco $350. Its virtally the same
as far as I can tell as the DVDR 75 <-Link
I am very happy with it. Be ware, it wont let you copy protected tapes.
Firewire, s-video, composite, and component inputs(480i/480p only). DVD+R/W only.
Plays on my other panasonic, sony and apex players when finalized.
