i tried several methods to burn the files onto a cd as vcd, but none came out right. the following are the different methods i tried. can someone help me out? thanks
i used dazzle dvc-100 (moviestar 5) to capture and edit 2 videos (37 minutes each) and saved as mpg format. played back on the moviestar edit screen and it was fine.
a) merged both files with moviestar5 and imported into nero5 to burn. it didn't burn bc it said there was no sound. in fact, there was sound bc i tried media player and windvd before burning.
b) merged both files and used moviestar5 to burn. the stand-alone dvd player played it. first half og the video synced, but second hanf didn't sync. forgot whether the comp played it or not.
c) imported both files (as 2 files) into nero5, but it didn't sync after burn onto disc.
d) imported both files into windows movie maker to merge and saved as wmv. imported into nero5 to burn. played it on the comp and even the first half didn't sync this time. didn't try the stand-alone dvd player yet.
note: of the 4 methods above, they all played and sync before i burn them, regardless if they're 2 individual files or after merged. after it's burned, either it doesn't sync from the very beginning or it doesn't sync by the 2nd half. thanks!
edit: when i used windows movie maker to merge both file and save as wmv, it played fine on the comp. however, after it's burned onto a cd and play on media player, the video is stretched like a widescreen. and it doesn't sync either (from the beginning thruout the entire 1+ hour)

After capture, run video through Virtual Dub and save as an .avi file, then edit, burn etc.. Not all programs accept all versions of media files produced by other programs. Moviestar5 is finicky in this regard.........
