Hi all have spent some time checking thru the site but cant find an answer to my prob' so im hoping somebody may be able to help.
I have recently started ripping dvds and copying for use on my black diamond standalone, my first discs were ripped using smart ripper which gave me vob files on my hard drive i then got hold of super dvd ripper and used that to convert the vob's and burn to disc as vcd's and now use the same prog to go through the whole process (dvd>>>vcd) no prob's there discs were played by my son on his player and played fine they also played o.k on a couple of friends players but when i tried them on my black diamond it tells me no disc is loaded,so i googled this site and checked compatability even though the user guide that came with the m/c says vcd is supported and the list and reviews all say they should play.Looking thru the forums for answers i discovered that some players arn't happy with different makes of media so i have now tried burning to
maxell/tdk/philips cd-r's and traxdata cd-rw's all of these seem to play o.k but still wont work on my player although all information says all types are supported.
Sorry if this has been long winded or i've missed something stupid but as a newbie i wanted to give as much info' as i could, hope somebody has some ideascos i'm
