  1. Did anyone watch the featurets on how they made the movie?
Shot the whole thing in seven weeks and used HD DVcams

Robert Rodriguez did a great job, especially considering all the hats he wore will making this movie....

yeah i saw that movie. it was pretty good. did you watch the extras where he showed his production rooms in his garage? that sound board was awesome. it wasnt really a sound board, just a big mouse that controls the software. and his editing computers werent anything too special. its amazing how good of a job he did on that movie

  5. I thought the extras were better than the movie but Salma always looks good, something about Johnny Depp that I don't like.
I liked Desperado out of them all but I liked El Mariachi for the machine guns and rocket launchers in the guitar cases,I can't believe he made that movie for $7,000 USD.

I got a copy here and watched the movie the other day as not too bad.

I am not very impressed with having two previews of films before the menu setup and the feature. This is advertising by the film distributor.

It is rather a remake of Desperado and El Mariachi. The originals are classics and I don't think "Once upon a time in Mexico" is as good, as a poor sequel with so much violence.

Some parts of the film as nothing new with the same old characters and seem to be so boring. This is just like a re-visit to the previous El Mariachi.

I haven’t seen the special features including the making of it. I’ll have look at it.

Then you also have the exact opposite, such as 28 Days Later. Worst featurette I've ever seen. It was just background info on viruses, nothing about making the movie

I got that too and the film as so unusual and I found this as so different, a world viral outbreak. I enjoyed it.

This is a real horrible stuff and you never know when the real one will come, bird flu.

I’ve got hundreds of DVDs; I never have the time to watch any featurette in the extras.

hmm i kinda liked that movie. it wasnt great, the ending kinda sucked. but i like the way the director shot it on video, and how well of a job he did with a small budget. if you go to the special fetures, there is an alternate storyboard ending that i liked way better than the original

Really? I liked the ending they had in the movie, the storyboard ending was too far fetched (yes even for a zombie movie) for me. The strange man in the locked room, the blood transfusion, there were just too many things I didn't like about it.
