  1. hi,

    is there a program that you can change like the colour brightness contrast treble bass ect. of a video file like avi ?

    Virtualdub for the Video, or if you are encoding, you can do it with TMPGEnc. Audio, someone else can probably tell you what will work best.

    Tweak filter for AVISynth is pretty handy for adjusting brightness, saturation & contrast. As for the audio try extracting the WAV with VDub and using any one of a number of wav editors out there to adjust the sound, then convert the altered WAV file to either MP2 or AC3 to use for your project.

    I'd recommend Goldwave for adjusting audio levels. You should probably do this after you have adjusted the video levels to your satisfaction in Virtualdub. Another thing that you might want to consider is using Zoom Player to play your video. It won't change the A/V properties permanently but it does have an internal EQ for audio and overlay color controls.
